Its Making Me Crazy

Kagome had been honed in to that bug buzzing around camp for the past hour.  She had first noticed it flying lazily around the camp fire, not really paying any mind to anyone, just one of the throng that was drawn toward the firelight.  Eventually it started making its way around the campsite.  

It buzzed around Sango for a moment, then landed on her shoulder.  Kirara noticed and jumped into her lap, jostling her and causing the bug to fly off.  Making its way toward Miroku it landed on his robes and seemed to rest there for a while.  Kirara watched from her place in Sango's lap and when she thought she had it, pounced on Miroku's arm, digging her nails into his robes.

"Kirara!" the monk barked in surprise.

Not having seen the bug, Sango chastised the little neko for harming their friend.  Kirara meowed and curled up in Sango's lap to sleep.

"What kind of bug is this, anyway?" Kagome thought to herself.  It didn't follow any type of pattern and couldn't be a mosquito because no one was complaining of being bit or itching after the bug flew off.  "The buzzing noise it's making is starting to get on my nerves.  I swear if it comes near me, I'm going to squash it!"  Her resolve made, she watched and waited.

The bug next visited Shippo who was sleeping on Kagome's sleeping bag..  It landed on his little nose and walked around, causing it to twitch, but not waking the sleeping kit.  Kagome watched that brazen bug just walk all over Shippo's face, not giving a care if it tickled, bothering the kit.  The nerve!  That bug was definitely going to get it when it made its way over to her.

Before it could reach her the bug landed on Inuyasha, who was currently sleeping with his head in Kagome's lap.  She watched as the bug landed on his ear and started walking along the edge, making the ear twitch.

"HA!" Kagome yelled before her hand came crashing down on Inuyasha's head, smashing said bug, along with the innocent ear.

"What the Hell, Kagome!" Inuyasha roared at her, jolting awake and holding his pained ear.

"It was a bug…" she offered pitifully, reaching up and pulling the smashed offender from the fur of Inuyasha's ear.

"Crazy wench." Inuyasha grumbled, jumping into the branches of the nearest tree.
