Literature Text
Kagome knew taking a window seat in history class was dooming her to failure. It didn't matter where she sat in that class, history always put her to sleep. Her thoughts were if she at least had a window to look out of, she could daydream instead of sleep. Not that one was really any better than the other, but if she were daydreaming she was less prone to drool on her desk and snore.
The only time she did pay attention was when they were learning about the Sengoku Jidai. Then it was a matter of reading the text and listening to the teacher, while fighting the urge to jump up and tell her how wrong she was! It didn't go the way the textbook said it did, and the teacher's explanation was always worse because it was an abbreviated version of the text. They always leave out all the good stuff when it came to this time period. Like demons of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. Oh! And magic! Nowhere does it say anything about magic. Or curses. Or how about demon swords? On what page can she read about those? Then you have your jewels for hiding tombs of people bigger than mountains that will fit in an eyeball. You have your jewels that hold a priestess and several demon souls fighting an eternal battle. You have your prayer beads that hold closed a gaping vortex of imminent doom in a person's hand. Then you got the least favorite jewels; the ones that make people eat dirt. Have we mention shape shifting demons yet? Those are always fun.
Then you have little humanoid toads with sticks that breath fire. Ya got a two-headed flying dragon, and demons with natural poisons that ooze on command. There were salves that dissolved demon bones, and magic sake that could fix it. The books don't say anything about giant, paper shikigami, or barriers. There were breeds of human no one had seen the likes of, and those sure didn't make it into her text. It was all a crock of shit. But if she dared to try and tell them what she knew, she would be sent to the principle for disrupting class with lies. So, instead she would sit in class and make notes about how certain events really did happen instead of the sanitized version. She wanted to write a real history book that told the story of the time she was there, and what she saw. Everyone should know how amazing and dangerous it really was. People should know before it's forgotten.
Realizing the factual Sengoku Jidai is so much more fantastic then the history they teach made the connection for Kagome that that's why the good stuff is the stuff of legends. And where do you go when you want to hear about legends? Or live them? In her case she would go to her home. So at the end of the day home is where she went, and she began to write. Everyday a little bit more starting from the time she first fell into the well, and she planned to continue to write until her story in the Sengoku Jidai is told. She didn't want anyone or anything forgotten, and she would write everything. Then she will leave it somewhere special and wait for the time to offer the world a more real truth of history than the purified truth they were given. She couldn't wait to get started.

A Hanyou's Heart
"InuYasha? What are you doing?"
He gripped the now pure, glowing jewel tightly in his fingers. InuYashas hand was becoming basked in the ethereal light as it encased the jewel. He shook as he held on to the jewel tighter, giving the young woman before him the impression that he was trying desperately to suppress an unwanted emotion.
Even with her human hearing, Kagome could hear InuYashas teeth gritting and grinding together as the apparent inner struggle took place in his mind. The snowy white fringe of his bangs covered his beautiful golden eyes in complete shadow.
He looked as if he was in utter turmoil and pain. The ma
